This program is designed for people who like to discover Jordan in a different way, hiking and trekking.
This tour will take you through Dana mountain ranges, Neolithic sites and mythical landscapes of Petra and Wadi Rum “the Valley of the Moon”.
You will discover Jordan’s largest and most majestic desert landscape with its red sandstone hills and needles and ridges, at your own pace being closer to the Jordanian Bedouins and their legendary hospitality.

Day 01: Queen Alia International Airport – Amman (Welcome to Jordan)

Arrive Queen Alia international airport, after visa formalities, you will meet with your driver who is holding a sign of your names to pick you up from the Airport to your hotel in Amman

Day 02: Amman – City Tour – Madaba – Nebo – Dead Sea

Breakfast, you will be transferred from your hotel for a morning City Tour of Amman, then continue to the lowest point on the earth – The Dead Sea,
on the route visit Madaba and Mount Nebo,
Dinner and Overnight at the hotel in Dead Sea.

 

Amman; The capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. you will start your tour from the city center – the oldest part of Amman which is crowned by the citadel with a charming panoramic view of the whole city, also you can see the ancient ruins of the Hercules’ temple which dates back to (161-120), the Byzantine church, the Omayyad palace and the fascinating archaeological museum – it’s includes an amazing collection of Jordan’s antiquities.

At the foot of the Citadel there’s is the Roman theater built in the 2nd century, which is still used for cultural events till now.
Finally, go through Abdoun, the contemporary area that has some of the best modern architecture.

 

From Amman to Madaba

Madaba; this city is a gift among of many churches which are decorated with mosaics, hence its name came of City of the mosaic.

in this city you will see the map of Madaba, the mosaic map for Holy Land, and her dating from the sixth century, it’s preserve in the Church of St. George.

 

From Madaba to Mount Nebo

Mount Nebo; start your visit from the sanctuary which is probably the place of death and burial of the Prophet’s Moses. It is one of the most holy places in Jordan, it was the place for pilgrimage for the first Christians.
The first church was built in Mount Nebo in the end of the 4th century AD to mark its historical importance.
From a platform in front of the church, you can see a bronze memorial of a snake on a cross that Symbolizes the serpent raised by Moses in the desert, as well as the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

Dead Sea (the lowest point on earth – 1306 feet below sea level): it has an historical and spiritual legacy of its own. It is believed to be the site of five biblical cities: Sodom, Gomorrah Admah, Zeboiim and Zoar (Bela).

Dead Sea water have been known for centuries that is the only place in the world where this particular combination of spa benefits exists. Peculiar sun radiation and climatic conditions, enriched oxygen atmosphere, mineral-rich sea salt, thermo-mineral springs, and mineral-rich mud all offer effective medical treatment and therapeutic benefits that attract visitors from all over the world.

You will spend an amazing time with sunbathing, swimming and dining, as well enjoy a strange experience but delightful: “float on the surface of the waters”, the buoyancy is due to the salt content nine times higher than that of ordinary seawater.

In the Bible, The Kings’ Highway is first mentioned by name in Genesis 20:17, when Moses led the Exodus through southern Jordan.
Late afternoon, arrive Dana for Dinner and Overnight at the hotel.

Description: The trail starts at the Adventures Center near the Mujib Bridge, where you will take the cantilevered walkway over the dam and follow the course of the river between towering sandstone cliffs to the base of a large waterfall. Depending on seasonal rainfall levels, the gorge may contain pools deep enough for swimming. This is an ideal walk to take slowly and enjoy the cool water and shade, especially in the heat of the summer.

 

From Wadi Al Mujib to Kerak

An ancient Crusader stronghold, Karak sits 900 m above sea level and lies inside the walls of the old city .Kerak’s best – reserved halls and passageways are located underground and can only be reached through a massive door. The city of Kerak was the ancient capital of Moab. During the Roman times it was known as Characomba.

Day 04: Dana – Feynan

Breakfast, the big fans of Long hikes will enjoy the experience of hiking 14 Km (5-7 hours) with a spectacular downhill walk from Dana to Feynan viewing the three Eco systems in Dana with a local guided, Reach Feynan Lodge for dinner and overnight.
